Knowledge Quest was conducted at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Dhenkanal as part of the Annual Library Activity Planner. Eleven groups, each comprising four students, participated enthusiastically. Each group was provided with a quiz book and given 20 minutes for reading. Questions were then asked based on the content, and the group giving the highest number of correct answers was declared the winner.

As part of the Monthly Calendar of Library Activities, the Class VII students of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Dhenkanal enthusiastically participated in a Collage Making Activity. Using newspaper and magazine cuttings, they creatively presented themes related to reading, knowledge, and environmental awareness. The activity fostered creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and strengthened students' interest in library resources.

CBSE  CAREER COUNSELING DASHBOARD

A Career Counselling Session was organized for the students of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Dhenkanal to introduce them to the CBSE Career Counselling Dashboard, an initiative by CBSE to guide students in making informed career choices. The session aimed to create awareness about various career options, skill development, and future planning based on students’ interests and aptitude. Students were guided on how to access the dashboard, explore different professions, and use self-assessment tools available on the platform. The program motivated students to set clear career goals and make well-informed decisions for their academic and professional growth in the future.

Registration of Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya

An orientation session on Registration of Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya was organized for the students of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Dhenkanal to promote digital reading and develop a habit of utilizing online learning resources. The session aimed to familiarize students with the process of registration and navigation of the digital library platform. Students were guided step-by-step on how to access books, journals, and educational materials available on the portal. The initiative encouraged students to explore a wide range of e-resources anytime, anywhere, supporting the vision of digital literacy and self-learning. It was an enriching session promoting the joy of reading through technology.

 BOOK REVIEW ACTIVITY 

At PM SHRI KV Dhenkanal, Book Review activities for Class X students are organized to enhance critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills. Students select books of their choice, read them with interest, and prepare structured reviews focusing on themes, characters, language, and personal reflections. These reviews are presented in class, encouraging peer learning and inspiring others to read. The activity not only strengthens reading habits but also sharpens writing and presentation skills. As part of Reading Promotion Week at PM SHRI KV Dhenkanal, a vibrant Book Exhibition/Book Fair was organized to cultivate love for books and reading among students. The exhibition showcased a wide collection of storybooks, reference materials, biographies, and inspirational works from various authors. On the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2025 at PM SHRI KV Dhenkanal, the students of Class XII took the unique role of teachers and librarians to honor their mentors. Acting as student librarians, they efficiently managed the library, guided juniors in using resources, and maintained discipline with sincerity. This activity not only celebrated the spirit of Teachers’ Day but also gave students firsthand experience of responsibility, leadership, and service. The Magazine Makeover activity for Class VI students of PM SHRI KV Dhenkanal was an exciting and creative event. Students enthusiastically redesigned names of magazines by cutting, pasting, coloring, and arranging pictures in a fresh and attractive way. They used captions, drawings, and decorative borders to give each page a modern and appealing look. The activity promoted teamwork, imagination, and artistic expression while encouraging the values of recycling and reuse. It also improved their presentation skills, handwriting, and creativity.  A collage making activity on the theme “Authors and Poets” was conducted for Class VI students of PM SHRI KV Dhenkanal. The young learners enthusiastically participated by collecting pictures, names, and famous works of eminent Indian and world authors and poets. They creatively arranged these on chart papers, adding captions and decorative borders to make their collages attractive. The activity not only enhanced their artistic skills but also deepened their knowledge of literature and great writers. It encouraged teamwork, creativity, and respect for literary contributions. Overall, the collage making activity was an enriching and joyful learning experience for the students.

Quiz on Independence Day

On the eve of Independence Day, PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Dhenkanal organized an engaging quiz competition to instill patriotic spirit and enhance students’ knowledge about India’s freedom struggle, national leaders, and cultural heritage. Students from different classes participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their awareness and quick thinking. The quiz included multiple rounds covering history, current affairs, and achievements of the nation. The event encouraged teamwork, curiosity, and confidence among participants.  PM SHRI KV Dhenkanal hosted a career guidance and counseling session conducted by Genxture, aimed at helping students explore various career paths and make informed decisions about their futures. The session covered topics such as emerging career trends, skill development, and the importance of aligning personal interests with professional goals. Expert counselors from Genxture provided personalized advice, answered student queries, and offered insights into higher education options and vocational opportunities. The interactive session empowered students to identify their strengths, set clear career goals, and take proactive steps toward achieving them, fostering confidence and informed decision-making.

 MULTI-CULTURAL PROGRAM FOR THE STUDENTS OF R.I.E. BHUBANESWAR

PM SHRI KV Dhenkanal offered a dynamic learning atmosphere for the students of the Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar, through a range of interactive and experiential learning opportunities. The school provided exposure to innovative teaching methods, well-equipped classrooms, and modern educational tools, enhancing the practical training of RIE students.
